????Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline spent in 2020 about $111 million in operating expenditure.
????In 2020 Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline exported around 211 million barrels (more than 27.8 million tonnes) of crude oil loaded on 278 tankers at Ceyhan.
????The oil extracted from the Caspian Sea is delivered to the marine terminal in Ceyhan via Georgia with the BTC, and from there to global markets via tankers.
????According to BP Azerbaijan, BTC spent in 2020 about $111 million in operating expenditure and about $29 million in capital expenditure.
????Since the 1,768 km BTC pipeline became operational in June 2006 till the end of 2020, it carried a total of 3.57 billion barrels (more than 475 million tonnes) of crude oil loaded on 4 659 tankers and sent to world markets.
????The pipeline, inaugurated in July 2006 and dubbed the "energy project of the century," carries Azerbaijani oil from the Caspian Sea, in addition to volumes from other countries in the region like Russia and Kazakhstan.
????The projected capacity is 50 million tonnes of oil per year or 1 million barrels per day. Light oil produced at the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli field is transported via BTC.
