Eni to build a pre-treatment LNG plant in Congo
Expro Group Holdings has signed a turnkey contract with energy giant Eni to design and operate an LNG pre-treatment facility in Republic of Congo, the US energy services provider announced on Wednesday.
Expro Group Holdings is tasked with the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the plant, which will be linked to Eni’s Marine XII offshore field development project.
The contract is expected to cost upwards of USD 300 million.
The new fast-tracked facility will be located adjacent to the existing Litchendjili gas plant and process around 2.27 mcm (80 mcf) of gas per day.
Earlier in January, the first steel was cut on the second FLNG bound for Eni’s Marine XII project.
